Sofi Abraham, MSN, FNP-C, OCN
In practice at WRIM since 2017. Sofi has also worked at Lutheran Hospital for 18 years. Sofi received her Masters degree from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She holds additional certification in oncology. In her free time, Sofi enjoys reading and cooking.
Stanton Elzi, MD
In practice at WRIM since 1994. Dr. Elzi graduated medical school in 1990 from the University of Colorado and completed his training at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 1993. In his free time, Stan enjoys gardening, scuba diving, and traveling.
Sara Schmidt, MSN, AGNP-C
In practice at WRIM since 2017. Sara was a nurse for 13 years with experience in Solid Organ Transplant and Medical Intensive Care before obtaining her masters degree in nursing. Sara is a Board Certified Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner who is licensed in Colorado. . She is an active volunteer for 9Health Fair and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. Sara and her husband John reside in Littleton, CO. She and her husband enjoy gardening, DIY home projects, and hiking with their dog, and spending time with her son.
Crystal Culbert, PA-C
Crystal has been a midlevel provider with WRIM since 2001. She completed her undergraduate studies at Arizona State University before working as a clinical cytogeneticist. Crystal then entered a Physician Assistant program at Midwestern University. She has her masters degree in medical science and is licensed through the state of Colorado. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. In 1998, Crystal won the Hawaiian International Billfish tournament.
Elizabeth (Liz) Cowan, NP
Liz is a family nurse practitioner certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her nursing degree at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center and her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University. Before pursuing a career in nursing, she grew up in Oklahoma. She attended Hamilton College in Aupstate New York where she studied biology and anthropology, worked internships in marine ecology and agriculture research and also played collegiate soccer.
Prior to her return to Wheat Ridge Internal Medicine, sheworked in family medicine at Boulder Community Health as a family nurse practitioner and at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in the Surgical-Telemetry unit as a registered nurse.
When she’s not at work, she spends her time mountain biking, skiing, hiking, baking, gardening and outside on various adventures with her husband and two sons.

Brooke Edwards, NP
In practice with WRIM since 2025.
Brooke completed her undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at Indiana University and earned her nursing degree at Denver College of Nursing. She has worked in the medical field for over 10 years, including 6 years in nursing, and went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado. Outside of work, she enjoys backcountry skiing, mountain and road biking, and spending time with her partner, friends, and family.
W. Scott Allan, MD
In practice at WRIM since 1998. Dr. Allan graduated medical school from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1991 and completed his training at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 1994. Outside of work Dr. Allan enjoys attending Broncos games and traveling with his family.
Megan Weaver, PA-C
In practice with WRIM since 2024. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Butler University in Indianapolis. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring Colorado.
Kendra Baughn, PA-C
In practice at WRIM since 2023. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors mountain biking, hiking, and camping with her husband and son.
